Jodi makes this argument better than I do -- though it'd be overstating it 
to suggest she really cares ... her attitude is that Californians, and 
particularly Los Angeleans, don't have accents, because we make all the 
movies and television and therefore the way we speak is the de facto Accent 
of America.
